FAMILY MAN

There are so many reasons why I love Vincent; one of them being his devotion to his family. His recent series of interviews and guest appearances, has reminded me how important his family is to him.

In almost all the interviews when he is asked why he's leaving L&O:CI the first thing he's says is that he wants to spend more time with his three children and his lovely wife. How beautiful is that.

He doesn't say he's over worked and under paid, or that he wants to challenge his skills with more creative ventures (although he does eventually mention that), nor does he trash USA & Dick Wolf.

His focus is on his family and spending more quality time with them. Oh and let's not forget surfing. How sweet is that .

Working in the field of education I have found that more families than ever before have both parents working and have less time to spend with the ones they love. So it is so especially nice to hear a man talk so lovingly about family.

BTW - he can be my Daddy any day!

Cheers!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

He really does wear his heart on his sleeve doesn't he - and I only love him all the more for that! He may be Vincent D'Onofrio, Sex God, Extraordinarily Talented Actor/Director/Producer/Executive Producer/Singer (I probably missed out 27 other things he's done today already), but he's also determined to live as 'normal' a life as possible in the 'abnormal' world his work takes him to. Wonderful post Artist!

I love it that he's giving his family priority. In one of the interviews he was asked what he was going to do next. He said he didn't know, and then kinda laughed about it. I think he's just looking for a little space, some free time. Some hang ten time perhaps.
Vincent: LOVEVDO loves a strong daddy too!
    Great post Artist!

  4. One of the many things that has always attracted me to Vincent is his obvious love of family. In todays showbiz world of fakery and 30 second relationships it is so refeshing to hear someone so committed.

  5. Gosh, you know some kids who have two parents? Rare enough these days.

Almost as rare as an actor who values his family and says so publicly whenever he gets the chance. But without the usual showbiz schmaltz.

  6. That's one of the reasons I admire him so much. And to think Leila turns 18 this month! I imagine he wants to grab as much time with her as he can.

  7. With Leila turning 18, you have to wonder how long it might be before we'll be calling him "GRAND daddy!" Not that I'd mind ... after all ... he is the GRANDEST daddy of them all!
