FOLIE A DEUX

FROM THE USA CRIMINAL INTENT NEWSLETTER:

In this week's brand new episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent ... When a fragile couple lose their child in a hotel robbery, Goren and Eames race against the clock to track down the missing child.

Tonight's episode sparkled, the plot was clever and had lots of twists and turns and red herrings (false leads).

It's always fun to see how Bobby will outwit the suspects, which in this episode was the swarmy professor and his unstable wife. But what was truly delicious was watching Bobby correct the "know-it-all professor" and making him look foolish. Delightful.

It was nice to see Lynn Redgrave on screen again. She was wonderful as the doting Aunt and her role added depth to the plot. As for Bobby the full beard gives him a very manly & authorative aura; almost fatherly. And as many of you may have noticed he goes from full beard and curly hair to scruff (not completely clean shaven) and a hair cut by the end of the episode. He seems less volatile this season and much more cerebral. Frankly, I like the change.

I don't want to say too much for those vixens who still haven't watched the episode so I'll end with this - notice the wistful look Bobby makes when Lynn Redgrave is talking about her niece as being the "only child in the family" and at the end of the episode when he remarks that the little girl's father couldn't even be "original for his own daughter". Perhaps creative foreshadowing of events yet to come?

So vixens what your take on tonight's episode?

  1. They knocked this episode out of the Ball Park! Not only do I think this is the best episode of Season 8 (So far) But I think it's one of the best Ever.

  2. OH...I also thought the scene in the interrogation room was priceless. I don't think I could take it if Bobby just sat and stared at me. Intimidating...Hell Yes!

He had the look of a grizzly bear staring down it's prey in the interrogation room.

  6. I loved it, but I'm very easy to please when it comes to Bobby. As long as he's in an episode I'll enjoy it :-)

A few of scenes stood out: When they saw the neighbours little girl and Bobby had that lovely smile on his face, in the interogation room when he just sat there quietly, his compassion when dealing with the mother, and his obvious contempt for the father when he was talking to Rogers at the end.

Think thats it for now..got to watch it again to be sure

  9. I had the same feeling about the "creative foreshadowing." Time will tell ... great episode all around.
