Desperate for the new season?

I can't speak for everyone but I can tell you that I am desperate for the new season to just START ALREADY! Apparently I am not the only one. On the USA network pages you can find their LOCI page. It's full of fun games, a forum, quizzes and other things to pacify us while they play with our emotions. Here's the link:

Now I'm not thrilled with Goldblum's pic being so HUGE and in front but that's another issue altogether but what I did find here was an interesting poll. There are a bunch of fans who just want the USA network to just play all the Goren/Eames episodes and ignore the problems with Goldblum so here's the link to the poll. There's power in numbers so if we all add our two cents maybe it will be paid attention to.

Just an idea, maybe it won't work but at this point we don't have anything to lose. The more the powers that be know we care the more likely they might be to not trash our beloved Bobby and show us what they have!

Personally, I have NO interest in the Goldblum episodes, BUT I appreciate the reason that he's there, which is the same one that Chris Noth was brought in for. No split-team system would mean no Vincent, and quite probably no Kate either, because they both would have left at the end of Season 4. Even Kate has said she'd had enough of their 22/23 episodes, shooting for 18 hour days. Can you imagine a world with no 'Wee Small Hours', no 'War at Home', no 'Untethered', no 'Frame'?

So, in answer to your question, desperate for the new season? Hell Yes! Willing to wait? 'Hell yes' again. Do I think USA will take any notice of any polls. Nope - and I think they're smarter than to give us all our 'goodies' at once. If the ratings were poor for 8 continuous Goldblum episodes, that might well spell the end of LOCI being renewed - and none of us would want that, would we?! ;0)

  3. I'll give season 8 a try....obviously watching G/E. Not sure about Goldblum. In my fantasy world the season would be 12 epis (like Burn Notice, Monk, etc.), ALL G/E. I'm asking for the best of both worlds. Back to just G/E only, but only what Vincent and Kate could handle.

  5. Yes, I'm ready for the new season, who isn;t. I realize they hired lousy writers for Goldblum, did two episodes then fired him. Their oroblem is trying to make him as quirky as Bobby and let's face it there is no one like our Bobby. They needed to bring in a cop like the Logan character. At this rate we'll be lucky to have episodes by July. They've started shooting the new Goldblum, again. So maybe we can see a light at the end of the tunnel.

If not maybe Vincent & Kate ARE UP TO 16 episodes USA's usual series instead of 22 or 23.

  6. Diane makes some excellent points, but I like fuzzytweetie's and BASRIC's ideas. Maybe ONE show with ONE team WOULD work best ... if they did only 12 or 16 episodes ... all Goren/Eames. They way it is now ... really TWO shows in one ... complicates matters unnecessarily. You have to wonder if this hasn't already been discussed. Doing 12 episodes a season can't be nearly as rough as doing 22.

  7. I know I sound like Pollyanna, but I have watched commericials on the USA network advertising the new season starting in the Spring (this was in the last two weeks). So I am hopeful; but maybe my hopes will be dashed again.
