URGENT! For Those Wanting to see Vincent's Version of Pelham 1-2-3 in the U.S.!

For those of you who have cable television here in the U.S.A., Thursday may be your opportunity to watch and/or record Vincent D'Onofrio's version of "The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3!" According to TV Guide On-Line, it airs at 5:00 p.m. Central Standard Time (6 p.m. Eastern) on a channel called "THIS," which is Channel 246 on Chicago's Comcast Cable.

If these photos aren't ENOUGH to convince you to tune in, I can tell you, as someone who has seen it in Pal/UK format, HE IS COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY DELICIOUS in this one! This is a made-for-TV version of the film, produced in 1998 (ahhhhhh ... Vincent 10 years ago ... ohhhhhhhhhh ...)!

This is a remake of the 1970's original version starring Walter Matthau and Robert Shaw. THIS version stars Edward James Olmos and Lorraine Bracco (of "The Sopranos"), alongside D'Onofrio, along with Donnie Wahlberg. The cast is superb, and the tension, from beginning to end, will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. If you are a fan of the original, you will notice some changes, most specifically, the "change" of one of the hijackers from a male character to a female character. Seriously ... NOT to be missed! Thanks to the Velocity of Vincent for at least two of the four photos!

  9. Vincent was eye-candy in this movie, but didn't have much of interest in his version of the script to play with :( :(

His came across as the least interesting of all the characters in the film!

Vincent was lovely 10 years ago, and even more lovely now. Sadly, my last functioning brain cell just imploded at the very suggestion that his 'Mr Blue' is the 'least interesting' character in the movie. Not in my world baby.

I wonder if they're still going ahead with the remake with Denzel Washington as 'Mr Blue'? Not that I care, I'll take mine 'straight' with Vincent thankyouverymuch :0)

  12. MEANWHILE, IN THE BRAIN-CELL HOSPITAL:

Nurse Lozzie rushes to the crash cart, grabs the newly-Patented "D'Onofrio D'evice", plugs it/him in, and 'administers' it to Diane's last remaining brain cell, which is on the point of death following a tactical error.

Stands back to watch the D'Evine D'evice at work. Blushes. Turns away. Creeps out of recovery room, pulling door to quietly behind her.

"Best leave those two alone - I think they're going to be busy for a time ..."

    LATER:

DIANE! Are you OK? Can you hear me? I meant 'least interesting' from a character point of view! Doesn't diminish Vincent in the least!

    Diane ..? Diane? Oh, dear.

I think she's passed out. That D'evine D'Onofrio D'evice was set on full power.

    :-D

  15. So my question to Jazzy, Fuzzy & Judith is: you ONLY want to HOLD his weapon/rifle? Really, Vixens? I think not.

And I agree with everyone he looks so HOT! BTW - I know what I'd do with his weapon LOL.

    Thanks for understanding.

I would like to investigate to see if we need to take further action! just joking :)

  19. DO NOT MISS THIS FILM. He plays it so cold he is STEAMING HOT! Shame on you, Lozzie, for failing to see this in his portrayal.

Why on earth are they remaking it when they already have a perfect version?

  20. I feel no shame whatsoever for saying that I thought Vincent's character was less interesting than all the others - script-wise. It was lightweight, and even more cliched than any of the rest put together. Looks-wise, well I didn't actually SEE any of the other characters so I can't comment! :-D Looks-wise I can't remember Vincent looking better in ANYTHING he did from that era, not with his clothes on, any rate ;)
