Prurience

The VloggerHeads Community is a nice place for publishing and/or watching videos.
Today they sent me an e-mail that reads as follows:
"As of now, the VloggerHeads Community Guidelines contain this provision: No pornography or sexually explicit content, even if it's a video of yourself."
(yourself?!? - only if I got paid for)
Further it says: "The Guidelines do not currently address the question of nudity, however. Since the beginning of human history, some images depicting nudity have been universally recognized as art while others have been defined as prurient".

Prurience or art?
Obviously, this is a complicated question.

Photobucket

I for one share Marilyn Monroe's opinion:
"The body is meant to be seen, not all covered up".

Have a hot sunday, dear Vixens

  2. Vincent is a beautiful work of art. Covering him up is like draping a sheet over Michelangelo's David! And just like David, Vincent is known for his "immense size"! sigh...

  3. I've seen the statue of David in Firenze ... it is a symbol of resistance to the erosion of civil liberties. It's a beautiful piece of art, but I know that I would always prefer to look at Vincent's "civil liberties."

    I'm no fool.

  4. How can I NOT have a HOT SUNDAY after looking at all of this fine art!?!?!? The high in Chicago is supposed to be 82 degrees Farenheit today ... unusual. Now I know WHY!!!!

  5. Why would anyone want to cover up a masterpiece?!

  6. I think I'm with you and Marilyn on this!!!

Seems like the photobucket censor might not be though :-(

  7. I would have to see more of this "art" to decide. Anyone who cannot see that Vincent's body is a work of art is blind. Maybe he would let me sculpt him, that would show those fools!!! Of course I'd have to learn to sculpt first, but I'm sure Vincent wouldn't mind waiting patiently in the nude. And don't worry, I'd invite you all over during the the sessions, as moral support of course.

  8. I LIVE FOR SUNDAYS! Jazzy, you know how to make the day sizzle, kudos.

On the subject of nudity let us not forget we came into this world naked. Adam & Eve were naked. The only purpose originally for clothing was to protect us mere mortals from the ravages of our environment: snow, rain, the blistering sun, etc. The more sophisticated & complicated our societies become the more they want to regulate behavior.

Let society rule itself, in terms of personal nonviolent behavior: i.e. smoking, eating indulgently, enjoying art in its many forms of expression, etc. Life is too short, let’s enjoy its many pleasures while we can. I know if I had VDO all to myself, I’d want to devour him one succulent lick at a time!

And boo to photobucket for censoring your luscious pictures.

  12. All the photos of Vincent are scorching hot, but I am especially fond of the photo of him in bed with the white lace linen sheets covering his beautiful body and he is gazing off into the distance. It’s so OMG gorgeous.

Not to mention the video style photos are to die for. They make me all weak in the knees and other places I won’t mention here.

  13. Yes, Eliza, I have a red cross for the last picture, too.

Or could it be because I've just downloaded IE8 in the hope it cures the problem of IE7 which shut down every time I closed a web page?

Well done, you have one of the coveted 'This image violates our policy and has been removed' *applauds, whistles and calls 'author', AUTHOR'*

I think we had about 40 of those babies for the 'Guy' pictures I loaded into Photobucket...
naturally, we still have ALL the pictures they deleted *evil laugh*

  15. You know what they say one persons art is another persons censored material.
Personally i believe that the man's body should be considered daily required viewing, course that's just my opinion and apparently one all of you seem to identify with!

  16. Very cool jenz!
Vince can be my personal material anyday.

Ah, and as for the theory that Vincent causes the global warming -- now look what happens in Chicago!

  17. hee hee jazzy! I think i am willing to risk global warming to see more of the man! What's a little water compared to a censored VDO photo!

  18. Did you know Vincent D'Onofrio is in a weird little exotic movie swanning around naked in a fountain, and I think handcuffs. He was quite a bit younger, but still very dreamy. Perhaps IMDB could help? btw, Robert was right. it was hot in Chicago Sunday. *grins* ^_^
