my trip

the day ago i went to Schwäbisch Hall, it's near to where i live
but belongs to another state called Baden Württemberg.
that town is 6.000 yrs old!

i've posted these pix for our Val because relatives of her do live in that town, so she is interested in. hope, you too.

this train is still running!

in 1944 a concentration camp was established next to the train station.
the station was targeted by an american air raid on february 23, 1945

this stone says: "at this place nazis burned down books, art of works, furniture etc.
it happened in the night of November 10, 1938
in the synagogue of Schwäbisch Hall"

thanks god no victims (thousands of killed people in other towns)

a friend of mine is art designer,
he made those paintings for the open air museum

the stairs of the city hall...

...the same place, when germany celebrates "Fasching"
begins on 11/11 at 11:11:11 am
we call it "crazy time", EVERYthing is allowed

the old town

nephew's art-class
it's a special school; no authority, no rules,
but pupil do learn more than in "normal" schools

digi cam - my first try

this pic is from the net, funny though.
yes, in Schwäbisch Hall you can buy and ride bulls!

the place, where you can watch VINCENT ! ! !
the cinema - a former sheep stable, lol

  1. Thanks for sharing pictures of your trip! I love the architecture there. Beautiful and very poignant scenery. It's really unnerving to think such atrocities happened in such a peaceful looking place.
